This
is a typical Catalonian sauce (Northeastern Spain). Originally, it was made with only garlic & oil.
Ingredients:
1-2
cloves garlic
Salt
1
egg yolk
2
t. lemon juice
½ t.
white pepper
extra
virgin olive oil
Grind garlic and salt together. Add the egg yolk, lemon juice and black
pepper. Whisk together until smooth. Start adding olive oil, drop by drop, while
whisking until sauce becomes very thick.
